Movement, voice, drawing, and writing as therapeutic and healing potential: one-on-one sessions create the space to listen to our emotional landscape and build a particular, desired outcome. Through the employment of somatic movement, ritual care, and conversation, an individual session allows us to broaden our view, see the issue from an evolutionary perspective and create a new sense of clarity. Each session is individual and personalized according to the needs and curiosity of each. The goal is to accompany you in a process of agency and healing through the alchemy of your physical and energetic body. It is suggested that the receiver makes sure to have space to move and be in a comfortable quiet environment.

ABOUT SOMATIC HEALING PRACTICE
SERPENTINE DANCE STUDIO STATEMENT We live in an era of standardization and automation, in which each of us repeats daily gestures, both bodily and mental, pre-established, pre-formatted, predisposed. This leads us to perform an alienation from ourselves, moving away from the figure of authenticity and uniqueness of which we are bearers, often unaware. This distance from the Self is often the source of emotions such as anxiety, suffering, depression, anger, or sadness, as it translates into a form of more or less unconscious censorship that we implement against our own personality, creativity, spontaneity, and imagination. Serpentine Dance Studio creates space for self-discovery. A space for listening and transformation, where you can connect with your emotions. The movement of the body, if lived in its deep unfolding, activates a process of self-healing. It is to this kind of research that Serpentine Dance Studio is dedicated, as a space in which everyone is accompanied on a path of awareness, in which we learn to feel at home in our body, as in the world. Each path is individual and personalized according to the needs and curiosity of each. The body of each of us is a sui generis vocabulary, containing a grammar all its own. Through movement, you are guided to read your own book, to discover the morphologies of its gestures. In this path, we try to bring in an expressed and conscious form of the particular symbolic language that animates and defines us, the mythology inscribed in each of us. It is a synaesthetic practice of visualization and connection with one’s inner self, the source of the extraordinary wisdom, unique and unrepeatable, that everyone carries within themselves. Every game is a ritual and every ritual is a game. Serpentine Dance Studio offers the space for a ritual with oneself, a safe space, like the magic circle of every ritual, in which to rediscover and give voice to the inner child in each of us, the original element of our unrepeatable uniqueness.
Somatic experiencing therapy can also benefit those who have tried, but not found success with, more traditional treatment methods after a traumatic experience. These treatments can include those for physical pain, digestive disorders, sleep problems, and other medical issues. The idea of using somatic techniques is that once physical symptoms are resolved, most people will find it is easier to address psychological symptoms through the use of somatic therapy techniques. Somatic therapy aims to engage a person’s body as a therapy technique and draw from the basic functions of the nervous system during treatment. Somatic psychology, the theory from which somatic therapy is derived, includes the following primary concepts.
