THE ARTIST RESIDENCY
Holistic Laboratory. The gallery promotes holistic retreats and workshops with artists and luminaries through new collaborative practices with a program of 4 residences per year that celebrate the seasons and bring together creatives and luminaries from different fields, nationalities and cultures. Each guest arrives with a workshop to share with the rest of the group. For each residence 10/12 participants are selected on the basis of their proposal.
BASED IN GRASSE, SOUTH OF FRANCE, OUR GALLERY AND WORKING SPACES ARE FLOODED IN NATURAL LIGHT. AN ATMOSPHERE OF CONCENTRATION AND IDEA EXCHANGE. VGO ASSOCIATES IS A COMMUNITY OF PEOPLE, IDEAS AND BELIEFS. WE THINK THAT IN ADDITION TO TECHNIQUES AND MATERIALS, WHAT DENOTES THE QUALITY OF A PROJECT IS THE VISION AND CULTURAL EXCHANGE THAT ENRICHES AND STIMULATES US. FOR EVERY PROJECT, LIKE A POEM, WE TRY TO FIND THE MOST EVOCATIVE WORDS AND THE POET WHO MAKES THE BEST USE OF THEM.
The gallery fosters new collaborative practices with a program of 4 Residencies per year that celebrate the seasons and bring together creatives and luminaries from different fields, nationalities, and cultures. Each invitee arrives with a workshop to share with the rest of the group. Eight participants are selected for each residency based on their proposal.
May/ Spring: Rebirth, psycho-physical awakening, a time to celebrate new ideas. July / August – Summer: A time to sleep under the stars, to feel free and limitless. October /Autumn: In this period of the year we celebrate the fruits of the “harvest” and give thanks. January / Winter: The time to set new goals and to delve deep within ourselves. Place and dates are defined two months in advance.

The institution of artists-in-residence exists as a model to invite artists, academics, seekers, and the like to create new forms of artistic expression and to exchange their visions. VGO Associates aims to provide an inspiring shelter to artists and creative professionals looking for a mental and physical space to develop their projects.THE VGO Artists in Residence program is an independent project and sustains itself by renting out its lofts to travelErs that want to visit South of France aND EXPERIENCE A different perspective.
SEASONAL EXHIBITIONS .
AN EXCLUSIVE SELECTION OF APPLICANTS WILL BE FUNDED AS RESIDENTS EACH SEASON TO EXHIBIT AND LIVE IN OUR SPACE. The gallery offers 4 days residencies per year. These days are by invitation only. VGO PROVIDES An ongoing program of residencies to celebrate the seasons. The residency is intended as an occasion for experimentATION ANT TO stay and practice together under the stars.
International authors are called to use their skills to grow autonomous and radical communities. We unfold to an hybrid path that follows the vision of a free world from vaCuity, respecting the environment and the most simple and pure way of living it and interpreting it.
