Laurent Jardin is a contemporary French artist, a sculptor and designer, born in Paris in 1973.In 2002 he won the ANDAM prize, (sponsored by the French Ministry of Culture, to promote emerging talents in contemporary creation, with the collaboration of famous sponsors like Hermès, Chanel, Chloé, Fondation Pierre- Bergé, Yves Saint-Laurent, Kering Group…).
He launched his own brand DRAGOVAN PARIS. Top-of-the-range leather shoes and accessories, handmade in France, in the purest couture tradition. His singular style, seduces the Asian market, under the impulse of Titi Kwan, the stylist of the stars in Hong Kong. DRAGOVAN is represented by the best Parisian press offices (Karla Otto, Totem, Frédérique Lorca…). Its collections, unveiled in reference fairs, are selected by big names in the fashion world, such as Maria Luisa, an influential buyer and fashion editor. He collaborates with Haider Ackermann, Rick Owens and Jean-Charles de Castelbaljac. Wood, leather, metal, marble, the artist, fascinated by history and primitive arts, sublimates the materials, in a search for absolute purity. His works, born of subtle, raw and precious assemblages, transcend the artisanal tradition, while at the same time moving away from any technique, in a pure quest for freedom and spirituality. From his sculptural work to his design creations exhibited in museums or collectors homes, his style, all in purity and perfect geometry, seeks the chimerical balance at the heart of the world’s instability.
